Stephen Davis, President
Stephen joined CIC as its first President in April, 2013. He brings a decade of experience in organization building, management, consulting and education. He hopes to harness that experience to guide CIC in training, financing and mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs in Central Virginia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master’s degree in Education from James Madison University.
Keir Zander, Vice President
Keir joins CIC as program director after serving as an intern since September 2013. Keir has experience in small business, having previously managed three businesses of his own. He has spent significant time working abroad and gained experience with non-profits while living in Quetzaltanango, Guatemala. He holds a degree in Psychology and Latin American History from the University of Virginia and is interested in microfinance applications for the developing world. He looks forward to working with our entrepreneurs and enjoys helping to see their ideas realized.
Waverly Davis, Client Services Coordinator
Waverly is passionate for both small business and community engagement. She brings her experience with non-profits, event management, community outreach and communications to her role as Client Services Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and enjoys assisting CIC alumni with their businesses and creating opportunities for them to grow.
Shannon Beach, Program Coordinator
Shannon has a vast background in the non-profit sector where he developed a passion for grassroots and community advocacy work. In his career, Shannon has worked with organizations performing tasks such as public relations, consulting in support of disadvantaged populations, strategic planning, organizational development and community-based services for various populations of clientele. He holds a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University under a Jesuit education and a second Master's in Social Work from The University of Denver with a concentration on organizational leadership and policy practice. Shannon has lived in Fluvanna county for the last couple years and is excited to help expand CIC in the Fluvanna and Louisa areas.
Rose is a fourth-year at the University of Virginia studying Economics and Statistics. She hopes to use her education and experience with CIC towards a fulfilling career in non-profit work and consulting that will serve businesses and government agencies alike.
Erin is a fourth-year Psychology major at the University of Virginia with a special interest in organizational behavior. She is excited to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how to start, maintain, and grow a successful business and hopes her experiences at CIC will inform her future aspirations in the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
