Stephen DavisStephen Davis, President

Stephen joined CIC as its first President in April 2013. He brings a decade of experience in organization building, management, consulting and education. He hopes to harness that experience to guide CIC in training, financing and mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs in Central Virginia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master’s degree in Education from James Madison University.

 

 

 

 

Keir ZanderKeir Zander, Vice President

Keir has experience in small business, having previously managed three businesses of his own. He has spent significant time working abroad and gained experience with non-profits while living in Quetzaltanango, Guatemala. He holds a degree in Psychology and Latin American History from the University of Virginia and is interested in microfinance applications for the developing world. He enjoys working with our entrepreneurs and helping to see their ideas realized.

 

 

 

 

 

Waverly DavisWaverly Davis, Communications and Engagement Director

Waverly is passionate for both small business and community engagement.  She brings her experience with nonprofits, event management, community outreach and communications to her role as Communications and Engagement Director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and enjoys assisting CIC alumni with their businesses and creating opportunities for them to grow.

 

 

 

 

 

Shannon Beach, Program Coordinator

Shannon has a vast background in the non-profit sector where he developed a passion for grassroots and community advocacy work. In his career, Shannon has worked with organizations performing tasks such as public relations, consulting in support of disadvantaged populations, strategic planning, organizational development and community-based services for various populations of clientele. He holds a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University under a Jesuit education and a second Master's in Social Work from The University of Denver with a concentration on organizational leadership and policy practice. 

 

 

 

Carolina Medina, Operations Coordinator

Carolina provides general support for CIC’s programs and events and manages The Collaborative, CIC's coworking space for entrepreneurs. Carolina has a passion for small businesses and enjoys working with entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their businesses. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Lynchburg College and enjoys working with our community of entrepreneurs.
