Barbara Kessler Volunteer Profile

Barbara Kessler is Senior Director of Community Engagement and Outreach for UVA’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. She is a believer in connecting people with resources that might be beneficial in their journey. Her experience in teaching, coaching, program development, volunteering and human resources highlight her desire to facilitate learning and assist with connections.

Barbara is now volunteering as a Workgroup Leader in our Entrepreneur Workshop for the second time. She explains that her favorite part of volunteering with CIC is, “watching and listening to entrepreneurs develop their idea, business, and self. The passion is infectious and I leave each session energized”.

Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband, Jay, and their four-legged furry, noisy children. They are long-time residents of Charlottesville (and Albemarle) and love to volunteer, watch sports, and spend time with family and friends.
