November 5, 2018

Bryan Thomas began his career in banking at United Virginia Bank in the Management Development Program.  From there, he worked as a Commercial Lender at United Virginia Bank, Central Fidelity Bank, One Valley Bank, and BB&T. He has also taught numerous classes in the Charlottesville area with the American Institute of Banking, including Financial Analysis and Introduction to Banking. Bryan is currently a Market President at BB&T, a position which he has held since 1998.

Bryan initially got involved with CIC by volunteering as a Discussion Leader for Cash Flow, a topic he feels is necessary for both new and seasoned business owners to understand. Bryan explains that he appreciated the way in which CIC brought together individuals as Discussion Leaders, Workgroup Leaders, and students to help small business owners navigate starting and growing small businesses.

“I have personally gotten a lot out of leading these sessions as it has been enlightening to meet new people with new ideas and dreams and to have the opportunity to hopefully give them some advice. I always seem to learn something new, from each class as you are able to get a different perspective as you address individuals’ questions and feedback.”
