Devy Goradia Volunteer Profile

A seasoned accountant possessing experience in bookkeeping and accounting, Devyani (Devy) Goradia, CPA, has worked within several industries in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area including construction, consulting, publishing, dining, retail, and travel. Before forming her own accounting firm, Accounting Solutions, in 1998, Devy worked in the tax department of a reputable Charlottesville CPA firm, preparing individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns. In addition, Devy taught cost, intermediate and tax accounting at several institutions and corporations within the Charlottesville business area.

Devy volunteers with CIC because when she started her own business 20 years ago, an organization similar to CIC helped her to start and grow her business. She wanted to give back to our community in the way she had been supported when launching her business.

Devy is an Office Hours and Resource Fair volunteer for CIC. She offers free, individual accounting consultations to CIC entrepreneurs. She explains that she enjoys volunteering with CIC, “I like to get to know new enthusiastic, entrepreneurs with new and exciting ideas”.
