Internships

Explore Internship Opportunities at Community Investment Collaborative (CIC)

At Community Investment Collaborative (CIC), we are committed to making a lasting impact on our community’s economic development. Since our founding in 2011, we have been dedicated to fueling the success of under-resourced entrepreneurs through education, mentoring, financing, and networking.

Our Mission

Strengthening our community is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs, foster job creation, and promote economic growth in the Charlottesville and surrounding areas.

The CIC Experience

At CIC, we provide a comprehensive entrepreneurial experience. Our flagship program, the 16-week Entrepreneur Workshop, empowers aspiring business leaders with the skills to bring their visions to life, from idea validation to launch planning. We foster networking and growth opportunities, enabling entrepreneurs to build vital business connections, market their products, and gain exposure through events and media coverage. Additionally, we bridge the lending gap with microloans of up to $50,000, equipping clients with the financial resources they need to see their businesses grow. As hosts of the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CV SBDC), we are able to expand our support through personalized counseling, technical expertise, and resources to entrepreneurs.  Our reach covers CV SBDC’s service area (Charlottesville and Albemarle, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Rappahannock counties) and is expanding into new areas (e.g., Fauquier County, southside Virginia) as we partner with resources in those communities. Join us in fueling the success of under-resourced entrepreneurs and strengthening our local economy!
