LaunchPad

CIC is excited to partner with the Charlottesville City Market, Farmers Market at IX and the Charlottesville Office of Economic Development to create opportunities for local entrepreneurs to build their experience and share their products with the local community.

LaunchPad is an exciting initiative designed to support and empower local entrepreneurs by providing access to prime farmer’s market spaces in Charlottesville. Developed in collaboration with the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC), Charlottesville City Market, Farmers Market at IX, and the Charlottesville Office of Economic Development, this program offers a unique opportunity for vendors to grow their businesses in a thriving marketplace.

From April 6 to November 23, LaunchPad will offer complimentary market spaces at three key locations: the Charlottesville City Market (LaunchPad at City Market), the Farmers Market at IX (LaunchPad at IX), and the Farmers Market at the Park (LaunchPad at the Park). Approved applicants will receive a designated spot at the market, with stall fees waived. Vendors will need to pay a $35 registration fee for the Charlottesville City Market and the Farmers Market at the Park, and a $25 registration fee for the Farmers Market at IX. To ensure a smooth and professional setup, essential equipment will be provided on a per-market basis, including a 10 x 10 tent, a 6-foot table, and two chairs.

This program allows vendors to test their products and services with minimal commitment while gaining exposure and connecting with the community. It’s a great chance to explore the vibrant atmosphere of the markets and see how your offerings resonate with local shoppers.
