Happy 2025! A message from our President

Dear CIC Community:

I am pleased to announce key additions and changes to Community Investment Collaborative’s leadership team as we begin 2025. These changes strengthen our ability to serve entrepreneurs across our regions and reflect our continued growth and commitment to excellence.

I’m proud to announce two promotions within our senior leadership team. Teira E. Farley has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing our programs and operations across all regions. Carolina Medina steps into the role of Chief Lending Officer, leading our lending operations and capital access strategies. Both Teira and Carolina have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to our mission of strengthening our community through entrepreneurship.

We are also delighted to welcome Bo Grist as our new Central Virginia SBDC Director. Bo brings valuable experience to this role and will lead our Small Business Development Center’s efforts to support entrepreneurs throughout Central Virginia.

Completing our leadership team is Joshua René, from The Spill Teem, who serves as Director of People Resources, ensuring we maintain our strong organizational culture while supporting our team’s growth and development.

This leadership structure positions CIC to better serve our entrepreneurs and communities as we implement our 2025-2027 strategic plan. We remain committed to fueling the success of under-resourced entrepreneurs through education, mentoring, financing, and networking.

We look forward to working with our partners and communities to create even greater impact in the years ahead.
