Danielle Hopkins
Danielle Hopkins is the founder of IF Consulting LLC, a development consulting firm that provides capacity building, program design, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning services to a range of public and private stakeholders in the inclusive finance field. Danielle has more than 20 years of experience working with a range of stakeholders to design and evaluate financial inclusion and financial capability policies and programmes for low-income women and youth in more than 25 countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Danielle has also developed and taught financial inclusion and social entrepreneurship classes at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. She started her international development career in the Peace Corps in Bolivia and met her husband Justin in the Dominican Republic while he was working for the Peace Corps and she was doing research for graduate school in microfinance. They have three boys, Nathaniel, Josiah and Levi who are in elementary and middle school, who love the outdoors and baseball and keep their parents active.Danielle is an avid proponent of experiential and participatory approaches to learning and her passion lies with educating and empowering low-income vulnerable groups to improve their financial capabilities. She has been a discussion leader with CIC for a few years now leading discussions on customer discovery and is excited to join the Board.
